About us

Among the first universities is HNU. Acknowledged by UNESCO, USMLE, PMDC, MOE, PLAB, IMED, and WHO. HNU is renowned for employing cutting edge technology, having laboratories of the highest caliber, and employing personnel with extensive international training and experience.

Introduction

HNU was established in 1938 and is housed in Changsha, a well-known city with a wealth of historical and cultural attractions. It provides 55 Ph.D. degrees, 147 master’s programs, and 71 undergraduate programs throughout its 23 colleges. Over 200,000 students have received an education from the university since its foundation, including roughly 4,000 international students from more than 20 nations. At present, the campus is home to more than 35,000 undergraduate, graduate, and international students. The University employs 880 professors and associate professors. This university’s International College of Chinese Language and Culture was created specifically to provide Chinese courses to international students. Currently studying here are more than 130 students from more than 20 different nations. Additionally, the university provides MA, PhD, and BA programs.

History

The school’s development is a national “211 Project” main component, and it has a well-known history of being a prominent institution with a focus on teacher education that places it ahead of other national universities. Wallless Chinese University Established in 1938 as Hunan Lantian National Normal University, Hunan Normal University was China’s first autonomous national teachers college and its origins date back to the Anti-Japanese War.

The Central Party committee propaganda department vice-minister Pan Gongzhan, director of the Education Department of Hunan province Zhu Jingnong and Guo Lixi, vice president of Shanghai Guanghua University Liao Shicheng, secretary Wu Junsheng of the Ministry of Education, and secretary of higher education Wu Junsheng made the decision to establish an independent National Teachers College in the summer of 1938.
