(Contributed by Zhong Yang and Zhou Sai, reporters from the School of Law) Recently, our university held the opening ceremony for the micro-major of “Administrative Procuratorial Studies” in Lecture Hall 205 of the School of Law. Zhang Xiangjun, member of the Procuratorial Committee of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and Director of the Administrative Procuratorial Department, attended the ceremony and gave a special lecture. Tan Gu, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Procurator-General of the Hunan Provincial People’s Procuratorate, and Liu Huaide, Vice President of our university, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Zhou Gangzhi, Director of the Key Research Base for Philosophy and Social Sciences of Hunan Provincial Universities (Research Field of Procuratorial Theory) and Vice Dean of the School of Law of our university, presided over the event.
Liu Huaide extended a warm welcome to the leaders and experts present, and introduced the school’s history, the process of jointly establishing a research base for prosecutorial theory with the Hunan Provincial People’s Procuratorate, and the curriculum design and faculty of the prosecutorial studies micro-major. He encouraged the students to cherish the learning opportunity, establish a people-centered legal mindset, and strive to grow into high-quality legal professionals.
