(Contributed by Feng Xin and Xiao Yi, reporters from the Security Department) In order to enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students, improve their emergency risk avoidance and self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities, and create a safe, stable and harmonious campus environment, on October 16, our school organized a fire drill and anti-terrorism and riot emergency drill for the 2025 freshmen.
The Changsha Municipal Public Security Bureau’s Patrol Special Police Detachment was specially invited to provide on-site guidance for the drill. The team systematically explained the basic knowledge of anti-terrorism and riot prevention to teachers and students, simulated emergency scenarios, and conducted practical drills.
During the fire drill, instructors from the Xiang’an Fire Training School conducted training on fire prevention, fire escape, and the use of fire extinguishers. Under the guidance of professionals, teachers and students experienced simulated smoke escape and conducted practical fire extinguisher drills in batches.
This drill comprehensively tested the scientific and practical nature of our school’s emergency evacuation plan and further strengthened the ability of all departments to coordinate and handle emergencies. The school will always prioritize safety, continuously strengthen safety education, and improve its prevention and control systems to build a solid campus safety barrier for all teachers and students.
Heads of functional departments such as the Student Affairs Department, Armed Forces Department, Security Department, and School Hospital, as well as all freshmen of the Class of 2025 at the Zhanggongling Campus participated in the drill.
